Bio

Kadrian Rickman
Founder | Systems Engineer (Electrical & Avionics) | Certification Support Engineer

Kadrian Rickman is a Systems Engineer specializing in aerospace electrical and avionics systems, with experience supporting FAA certification programs across complex aircraft systems.

He began his aviation career in 2011 at Boeing as an Aviation Maintenance Technician, holding an FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) License. This hands-on maintenance foundation provided early exposure to aircraft systems, airworthiness requirements, and operational considerations that continue to inform his engineering approach.

Building on this experience, Kadrian returned to academia and earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from Seattle University. In 2022, he transitioned into a Systems Engineering role (Avionics – Displays) at Boeing, where he has supported certification-related engineering activities across integrated aircraft systems.

His technical focus includes requirements verification and validation, FAA conformity support, system safety assessments, avionics integration support, and certification documentation development aligned with FAA regulatory expectations. He supports engineering and certification teams by developing clear, defensible technical data and emphasizing disciplined engineering practices, traceability, and early identification of certification risk to support predictable program execution.

Kadrian values clear communication between engineering, certification, and test organizations and prioritizes safety, regulatory integrity, and technical rigor in all aspects of his work.

He currently holds a BSEE and is completing a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering (MSEE) at the University of Washington, with a focus on Signal Processing and Power Quality, expected in June 2026.

In 2025, Kadrian founded Rickman Aerospace Consulting, an independent aerospace engineering consultancy providing electrical and avionics engineering support for aircraft certification programs. The firm supports certification activities through engineering analysis, compliance planning assistance, test preparation, and technical documentation development.

Rickman Aerospace Consulting operates in a pre-DER capacity, supporting certification efforts through technical analysis, documentation development, and compliance preparation. The firm does not perform FAA findings of compliance or exercise delegated FAA authority.
